Most vape problems have simple causes and quick fixes. Use this guide before assuming a device is faulty.
1. Quick Diagnosis Table

2. Burnt Taste: The Most Common Issue
A burnt taste means the cotton around the coil is dry when it heats. Always prime a new cartridge (a few drops on the coil holes, wait 5 minutes), never vape with the e-liquid below the intake, and give the wick a few seconds between puffs. Very sweet and iced e-liquids shorten coil life. If the burnt taste stays after refilling, the cartridge is done. More in our coils guide.
3. Leaking
Leaks usually come from overfilling, using thin DL e-liquid in an MTL pod, or leaving the device in a hot car. Fill slowly, close the fill port fully, and store upright.
4. Battery and Charging
- Use a good USB-C cable and a standard phone charger.
- Do not leave devices in direct sun or very hot places.
- If a device gets unusually hot, stop using it.
5. When Is It a Real Defect?
If a new device will not power on or charge after the steps above, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Returns are accepted within 14 days for manufacturing defects. Cartridges, coils and e-liquids are consumables and are not returnable.
