Most early problems with a new pod — burnt taste, leaking, weak flavor — come from the first fill. Follow these steps and your cartridge will last longer from day one.
1. Filling a Pod, Step by Step
- Remove the pod from the device.
- Open the fill port (top-fill on most new XLIM and Caliburn pods, side-fill on some others).
- Tilt the pod slightly and fill slowly along the inner wall, not into the center tube.
- Stop below the max line to leave room for air.
- Close the port firmly and wipe any drops from the outside and the contacts.
2. Priming a New Cartridge
After the first fill, wait 5–10 minutes before vaping so the cotton fully soaks.
Take 2–3 gentle draws without firing (or with the button released) to pull e-liquid into the wick.
Start at lower wattage if your device lets you adjust it, then increase.
3. Everyday Habits
Refill before it runs lowNever let the e-liquid fall below the coil intake.
Pause between puffsChain vaping dries the wick.
Store uprightReduces leaking, especially in heat.
Use the right e-liquidSalt or MTL in MTL pods; never thick DL in small pods.

Do I need to prime every refill?
No. Priming is only needed for a new cartridge. For refills, just do not let it run dry.
Why does my pod leak after filling?
Usually overfilling or a port that is not fully closed. Fill below the max line and press the cap firmly.
